Fans of Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality TV show will have to wait a little longer for the show to get back on their screens after M-Net confirmed the show is on hold.
In a statement, the show was put on hold to give its producers space to re-evaluate everything about it.
“M-Net has announced that while regional Big Brother shows are being produced, including Big Brother Angola and Big Brother Mzansi, the continental version of the show is currently on hold.
The statement continues, “The move to regionalise the show allows producers to re-evaluate the direction of the show.”
In the past editions, by this time of the year, BBA fans would be enjoying the show, pushing for their representatives to the jackpot. But all the cat-fights between contestants, love portions, betrayals and Biggie’s voice will not feature this year.
Last year, the show almost never ran when the house caught fire and everything was delayed for a month. Eventually, the show ran but it was held in another house. And was won by Tanzanian contestant Idris Sultan.
